Uncapped ADSL Access Express interpreting the service:

This Business ADSL service was developed mainly for the conservative business user who requires that assurance of an uninterrupted and fixed cost ADSL service.  The Business ADSL Express service is a managed service, whereby the customer's usage is monitored and recorded.  The service is allocated a certain threshold for the month which is divided into a 10 day rolling window.  If a customer reaches his 10 day threshold before the 10^th day, his bandwidth will be halved (e.g. 512 Kbps to 256Kbps 1MB to 512K).  However, if his consumption is reduced, his bandwidth will be restored to the purchased level.  This mechanism has been put in place in order to discourage abuse of the service and thereby giving the conservative business user a more superior service.

The thresholds are as follows:

512 = 30 Gig for 30 days which is divided in 3 segments of 10 Gig each.  The usage is monitored over a 10 day rolling window period.

1024 = 60 Gig for 30 days which is divided in 3 segments of 20 Gig each.  The usage is monitored over a 10 day rolling window period.

This service is unshaped and no restrictions are placed on this service whatsoever e.g. P2P. A normal user name and password is provided for this service so clients may use their own routers.  Only 1 concurrent connection is allowed on each user name and password, though unlimited people may be connected to this 1 concurrent connection.

Internet Solutions introduces a new Business ADSL service, especially tailored for our customers with the "up to 4Mbps ADSL" access speed.  This service will not be capped but will have measures in place which ensure a consistent user experience for our customer.  When a predetermined amount of bandwidth (100GB per calendar month) is consumed, the line speed will be reduced to 128kbps thus ensuring that connectivity for essential services such as mail and browsing is maintained for the remainder of the month.  This Service offers the business user the peace of mind of using an uncapped service, without being affected by potential abusers of the system.

ADSL PLUS is unlike the regular packages that kill internet connections after the cap is reached.  The plus package that can grow with your needs, at affordable prices.  The PLUS packages are made up of a bandwidth cap, as well as a user cap.  The Bandwidth cap is your allocated bandwidth package, and the user cap is individually set by each customer to prevent our clients from going over their monthly budget.  What is ADSL PLUS?  If the client is on a (e.g.) 2 Gig Cap and you supply the client with a 3 Gig Cap, the ADSL will carry on till the 3 Gig Cap an you supply the client with a 3 Gig Plus account,  this will enable the client to go over the cap but will not be disconnected if the client reach the 2 Gig Cap, the ADSL will carry on till the 3 Gig cap is reached.  You will be charged at R0.31c per Meg after.  NOTE you will only be charged for the use of the Megs the client used not the full 3 Gig Cap.  There is no additional cost to put your clients on ADSL Plus.

We provide Local Only bandwidth on the SAIX network.  Cost for Local Only bandwidth = R25.00 per Gig.
